PRIVATE SESSION
A Private Session allows you to dive deeper into your yoga practice. Before your first class, we will discuss your specific needs and intentions, so that I can formulate a practice to meet your goals (physical, spiritual, mental, emotional). We will work on your alignment and breath in foundational and challenges poses, and strategies to help you practice regularly.
KIDS: CALM YOGA FOR RELAXATION
This ongoing class features slow, mindful movements and restful yoga poses to feel calm and relaxed. Great bedtime yoga class! For 8-12 year olds. Register directly through Outschool
VINYASA FLOW
Vinyasa means to move with the breath. These classes are medium-paced and rhythmical, focused on connecting a fluid sequence of poses with the breath. Often called flow yoga, Vinyasa Flow focuses on transitions and movements, with less time holding stationary poses. No two classes are ever the same! Suitable for all levels of students with a base level of fitness.
YIN/YANG
This class blends two styles of yoga into one practice. Yin is slower, more passive with deeper holds and yang is more active, building strength and stamina. The body needs both and this class provides that balance. Don't want to commit to a full course? Drop-in is available.
YIN YOGA
Yin Yoga is a slow paced, gentle, calm and meditative type of yoga class. In Yin yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments, bones, and joints) rather than focusing on the large muscle groups. As a result, the poses are more passive and a great complement to more fast-paced and muscular styles of yoga. Suitable for almost all levels of students.
RESTORATIVE
Restorative yoga is a grounding and restful practice making use of many props to maximize comfort and relaxation. This class is an opportunity to slow down and open your body through gentle & passive poses. Restorative poses are designed to activate the Parasympthetic Nervous System -also known as the "rest and digest" state, and thus classes aim to provide a restoring, nurturing and healing experience. This class will benefit brand new beginners and seasoned yogis alike!
HATHA
If you have never tried yoga before and are curious if it is for you, this is the perfect class to get a taste! This series introduces a combination of traditional and foundational poses (asana), breath work (pranayama) and yogic concepts to nourish mind, body and soul. Props are used with poses to make the poses accessible to everyone. Join me to stretch, strengthen, relax, centre and energize.
